I congratulate you on selecting the Late Yadavraodada Deshmukh Law College for your legal studies. Since its establishment in 2006, the name Late Yadavraodada Deshmukh Law College has been identical with a quality legal education. Our students are achieving merit positions at Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. We are committed to providing legal education that is both socially relevant and professionally desired.

Law is a component of our lives. There is no aspect of human existence that the law does not regulate. Law is the basis of the universe and everything revolves around it. Our motto, ‘asato ma sadgamaya’ (‘असतो मा सद् गमय’) means “lead us from ignorance to knowledge.” It is the introductory line of an ancient universal prayer from the Brhadaranyaka Upanishad’s Pavamana Mantra (1.3.28). It is a prayer recited for one’s own well-being and the entire human race. Under the influence of this legal philosophy, YDLC has fostered its own educational culture. Law and the legal profession have attained a pivotal position within the global economy. In addition to the complexities of the law, it is now necessary to examine the effects of globalisation on social and political institutions. We have made endeavours to effectively combine legal theory and practise to facilitate such research. Supporting classroom instruction are moot court practicals, legal aid, legal literacy, and legal research. This will expose you to social realities and introduce you to courtly etiquette. You will enjoy studying law in the beautiful but disciplined environment.
